Cranberries / Read the AARP article in the February/March Issue, 2014

Read the article in AARP the Magazine, titled " Eat Red for Heart Health ". The article talks about three foods that when eaten on a daily basis can reduce your risk of Heart Disease by as much as 40%. We as Cranberry Growers are all aware of these things, lets get out there and see that these ideas are constantly on other peoples minds. The three foods mentioned are, Tomatoes which supply Licopene, an antioxidant compound that gives foods their color. Apples also contain antioxidants, and an Apple a day can be very helpful in reducing bad Cholesteral (LDL) by as much as 40%. Finally Cranberries or Cranberry Juice can increase good Cholesteral by as much as 10%, and reduce Heart Disease by up to 40%.
